About Cullen Design & Build Ltd

The Practice was formed in 1998 by Tom Cullen having gained several years experience working abroad in England, Germany and Australia with some of the worlds leading Architectural Practices such as Aukett & Heese GmBH, in Berlin, Germany and Cox Richardson Partnership Sydney, Australia.

Since forming we have been offering Architectural, Project Manager & Construction Services directly to clients and also to larger Architectural Practices and Specialist Building Contractors throughout Ireland. We have offered our expertise to large commercial architectural practices such as Fewer McGinley Associates Waterford, Dublin and London and Oppermann Associates Dublin having a large involvement on-site on many their projects. Projects have been completed all over Ireland and the UK but particularly in the South East of Ireland.

We have developed our services to meet the needs of the market both locally and further afield, broadening our knowledge as required through continuing professional development to complete whatever is required in a project and/or through the use of other Professionals when required. We have worked on a huge range of building types gaining experience through projects of increasing importance and complexity which includes developments in the areas of Hotel, Leisure and Tourism, Pharmaceuticals, Educational, Offices, Residential, Protected Structures and Community projects. Of late we have completed more in the community, commercial and private sector housing areas with projects encompassing housing, retail, tourism, community facilities & leisure, whilst also continuing to work with Specialist Building Contractors on projects throughout Ireland.

Over the years we have worked on projects some usual and large projects such as the wastewater treatment design of Tattersalls Horse Sales Arena and Hook Head Lighthouse Visitor’s Centre one of the oldest lighthouses in the world with large visitor numbers, a patent drawing for registration of a car’s air-conditioning system, drawings and consultation for a timber frame company’s application for NSAI approval and an anaerobic digester for dairy farm slurry to produce electricity, heat and fertiliser.

We have been involved in the construction industry for many years and have gained good working relationships with contractors making it easy to complete construction projects on time and within budget. We have completed several high spec one-off dwellings, extensions and civil engineering works throughout Wexford and beyond and are nearing completion of a scheme of 9No. houses for sale by the re-development of existing old farm stone buildings in Cullenstown.
